What You Need to Know When Your Clients are in Divorce Mediation

Divorce is a time consuming and expensive process. Divorce mediation is an alternative dispute resolution process that allows divorcing couples to try and negotiate a mutually acceptable agreement with the help of a neutral mediator. It can be the best choice to settle divorce issues in a more amicable fashion and can save money and time for couples.

This program will help you understand mediation and be supportive to your clients who may be contemplating divorce. You will learn about the mediation process, the advantages of mediation, and how a mediator and divorce financial specialist can form the dream team for your clients.

Learning Objectives:
1. How to help your clients prepare for divorce mediation
2. Recognize the benefits of divorce mediation v. litigation
3. Why divorce financial planning is different than “traditional financial planning”
4. Help your clients avoid the most common mistakes people make during divorce
